Prayer in the petition is for directing the official respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of private respondents No.4 & 5, their relative and friends. Counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners will be satisfied in case a direction is issued to the concerned official respondent to examine the representation dated 11.09.2020 (Annexure P-4). Without adverting to the merits of the petitioners' allegations at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur-respondent No.2 to consider the representation dated 11.09.2020 (Annexure P-4) and thereafter, to take appropriate steps as warranted, in accordance with law.
