(Presence has been marked through video conference) ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Issuance of a writ, inter alia, in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No.1 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondents No. 5 to 9 is sought herein.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner submitted a complaint dated 13.09.2020 (Annexure P-2) but the same has not been adverted by the respondents till date. Hence, the instant petition. 3.

Notice of motion.

Mr. Luvinder Sofat, AAG, Punjab, who has joined proceedings on advance service of the petition appears and accepts notice on behalf of the respondentState of Punjab. 5.

Given the nature of order being passed, there is no necessity to seek return by any of the respondents as no further proceedings and/or pleadings are required.

Without commenting on the merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to Respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, District Patiala SONU 2020.09.21 17:33 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

or any police officials deputed by him to look into the complaint dated 13.09.2020 (Annexure P-2) and after assessing alleged threat perception, if deemed necessary, take appropriate steps in accordance with law. 7.
