*** DEEPAK GUPTA, J. (ORAL) On 02.06.2023, following order was passed:- "Present petition has been filed under Section 438 of Cr.P.C., praying for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case bearing FIR No. 64 dated 10.04.2023 registered under Sections 307, 323, 341, 148 and 149 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 25 of Arms Act, 1959 at Police Station Beas, District Amritsar.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that no specific role or injury has been attributed to the petitioner in the present FIR. Learned counsel further contends that only allegation against the petitioner is that he accompanied the other coaccused. Learned counsel submits that there are no other criminal antecedents against the petitioner, nothing is to be recovered from him and he is ready to join the investigation. Notice of motion.

Mr. P.S. Grewal, DAG Punjab, who is present in the Court, accepts notice on the asking of the Court and seeks time to file reply/status report.

Meanwhile, in the event of arrest, the petitioner is ordered to be released on interim bail on his furnishing personal bonds and surety bonds to the satisfaction of Arresting/Investigating Officer. However, the petitioner shall join the investigation as and when called upon to do so and shall abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C. "

Today, though a written request for an adjournment has been received on behalf of learned counsel for the petitioner, but statement is made by learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Gurmeet Singh, that the petitioner has joined the investigation, in compliance of the order dated 02.06.2023 and is no longer required for further investigation. In view of the aforesaid, the order dated 02.06.2023, whereby the petitioner was granted interim anticipatory bail, is hereby made absolute. However, he shall continue to join investigation, if and so required by the Investigating Officer.

Disposed of.
