On 31.08.2023 the following order was passed : "Yet again none has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioner.

The prayer in the present petition is for issuance of a direction to respondent Nos.2 and 3 to protect the life and personal liberty of the complainant.

Though the directions are sought qua the Senior Superintendent of Police, Chandigarh and Station House Officer, Dhanas (UT Chandigarh), however, the State of Punjab has been impleaded in the present case. Even the representation (Annexure P/4) is addressed to the Senior Superintendent of Police Chandigarh.

In the interest of justice, adjourned to 06.10.2023. Registry to inform counsel for the petitioner of the next date."

Today none has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioner. It appears that the petitioner is not interested in pursuing the present petition. 4.

In view of the above, this Court is left with no other option but to dismiss the present petition for non-prosecution. 5.

Dismissed for non-prosecution. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
