Notice of motion. On our asking, Ms. Kirti Singh, DAG Haryana accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. In view of the nature of order which we propose to pass, there is no necessity to call upon the respondents to file their reply/affidavit at this stage. (2)
The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to add his name in the Voter List of Village Kuchpura, District Karnal so as to enable him to fill up the nomination form for contesting election for the post of Sarpanch in the reserved category.

In view of the fact that the State Election Commission is said to have passed the order yesterday i.e. on 04.01.2016 directing the Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Commissioner, Karnal to enquire into the matter and take appropriate action within one day, no further direction is required to be issued in the instant writ petition which is disposed of as having become infructuous. (4)
