(Oral) Prayer in this petition is for issuance of direction to official respondents to take legal action under Section 154 Cr.P.C., on the complaint of the daughter of the petitioner dated 20.12.2019 (Annexure P1), disclosing a cognizable offence regarding unnatural death of the petitioner.

Reply by way of affidavit of the Senior Superintendent of Police, District Amritsar (Rural) filed in the Court is on record and as per the reply, on conducting an enquiry, the Superintendent of Police (Investigation), Amritsar (Rural), has not approved the allegations in the same.

In view of the above, counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw this petition with liberty to the petitioner to file a complaint before the Illaqa Magistrate.
