(Oral) The grievance raised by the petitioner is that she has been offered appointment as TGT Sanskrit in Mewat cadre, ignoring her merit and preference for Rest of Haryana (RoH) cadre which is arbitrary and illegal. The selection pertains to advertisement 02/2023, dated 21.02.2023, issued by respondent no.3/Haryana Staff Selection Commission for the Department of Elementary Education.

Pursuant to the last order dated 06.05.2026, petitioner's selection record has been produced, which shows she has secured more marks than the last selected candidate under General category, and has opted for Rest of Haryana cadre as first preference. Accordingly, it appears that on account of some mistake on the respondents' part the petitioner has been allocated Mewat PAYAL 2026.05.27 18:44 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CWP-13921-2026 -2cadre instead of RoH, which she is entitled to as per the preference given, as also on merit.

The selection record has been returned to learned State counsel. 4.

Learned State counsel does not dispute that the petitioner herein is similarly placed as petitioners in CWP-19489-2024 titled Krishan Kumar and another v. State of Haryana and others, decided on 04.09.2024. 5.

In view thereof, the petition stands disposed of in terms of Krishan Kumar case ibid., by directing the Commission to correct the error/mistake in the merit list, and recommend the petitioner for appointment as TGT (Sanskrit) under General category in Rest of Haryana cadre as per merit. The second respondent shall thereupon offer appointment to the petitioner, subject to her fulfilling the requisite conditions, notionally from the date other selected candidates pursuant to the selection in question have been appointed, and with actual benefits from the date of joining. The directions shall be carried out by the respondents within four weeks of receiving a certified copy of the order.
