The petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in FIR No. 199 dated 10.08.2020, under Sections 420 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, registered at Police Station Kamboj, District Amritsar. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that it is alleged in the FIR that the petitioner had entered into an agreement to sell with the complainant in the year 2012 and had transferred the land later in the year 2014 in the name of his brother. Therefore, there is delay of several years in registering the FIR. He, however, contends that the petitioner is ready and willing to settle the matter with the complainant and shall make earnest efforts in this regard.

This Court, by the order dated 05.10.2020, had directed the petitioner to appear before the Investigating Officer and join the investigation and in the event of his arrest, he was to be released on ad-interim bail to the satisfaction of the Investigating/Arresting Officer, subject to the conditions envisaged under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.

CRM-M-30955-2020 Learned State counsel, upon instructions from SI Tejinder Sandhu, states that the petitioner has joined the investigation and is not required for custodial interrogation.

In view of the submissions of learned counsel for the petitioner and the petitioner having joined investigation, the order dated 05.10.2020 granting interim bail to the petitioner is made absolute. However, the petitioner shall abide by the conditions stipulated under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C. He shall also join investigation as and when called upon to do so.

The petition stands disposed of.
