Petitioner Bhushan Kumar has come up in this criminal writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing the official respondents to protect the life and personal liberty of the petitioner who apprehends danger at the hands of private respondents. Notice of motion to official respondents.

Service of private respondents is dispensed with. Mr. Jagmohan Ghuman, DAG Punjab puts in appearance and accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents. CRWP No. 7553 of 2020 (O&M) -2After hearing learned counsel for the parties and perusing the records, the present petition stands disposed of with the directions to the official respondents to ensure due protection of life and personal liberty of the petitioner at the hands of private respondents and to act on his representation Annexure P/3 fully in accordance with law. However, it is made clear that this will not come in the way of the official respondents for initiating any legal proceedings against the petitioner in accordance with the law. The petition stands disposed off.
