This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking protection from private respondent Nos.4 to 8 on the ground that the petitioners got married against the wishes of relatives of petitioner No.1. They are apprehending threat at the hands of respondent Nos.4 to 8. Copy of the marriage certificate is Annexure P-3. The petitioners have already moved an application/representation (Annexure P-5) to Superintendent of Police, Jind, for providing protection to their life and liberty.
Learned counsel for the petitioners as well as State counsel have submitted that necessary direction be given to the concerned police officer to look into the matter and decide the application/representation (Annexure P-5), moved by the petitioners.
In the light of the aforesaid, this criminal writ petition is hereby VIRENDRA SINGH ADHIKARI 2020.09.22 05:05 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
