Petitioner Jaswant Singh has come up in this criminal writ petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of appropriate writ/directions against respondents no. 1 and 2 for protecting the life and personal liberty of the petitioner and his family members as he apprehends danger at the hands of respondents no. 3 and 4.

After hearing learned counsel for the parties and perusing the records, the present petition stands disposed of with the directions to the official respondents to ensure due protection of life and personal liberty of the petitioners and his family members at the hands of respondents no. 3 and 4 and to act on his representation Annexure P/2 fully in accordance with law. However, it is made clear that this will not come in the way of the official respondents for initiating any legal proceedings against the petitioner in accordance with the law.
