Mr. Vikram Singh, Advocate for the petitioner **** SURYA KANT, J. (Oral) (1) The petitioner wants the nomination of respondents No.5&6 rejected to contest the Gram Panchayat elections on the ground that they are in unauthorized possession of Gram Panchayat land.
(2) The elections are scheduled to be held on 24.01.2016. (3) It is too late at this stage to call upon the respondents to adjudicate the issue raised by the petitioner more-so when he has got the efficacious alternative remedy to file the election petition.
(4) The instant writ petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioner to institute the election petition, if so advised, however, keeping in view all the attending circumstances, the Election Tribunal is directed to ensure that the election petition, if so filed, is decided within six months.
