H. S. Madaan, J. (Oral) At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner states that she does not press the present petition for regular bail, however a direction be issued to the trial Court to complete the trial expeditiously.

Reply filed on behalf of the State, is taken on record. A perusal of the same goes not show that challan was filed in the Court on 21.9.2019 and out of 10 prosecution witnesses cited by the prosecution, only one prosecution witness has been examined so far. It is matter of concern, that the trial is moving at a such a slow pace in the Court of Special Judge, SBS Nagar, stated to be Mr. Randhir Verma.

CRM-M-35325 of 2021 -2Accordingly, the trial Court is directed to complete the trial expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months, by giving short adjournments. The State shall cause appearance of the prosecution witnesses in the Court on the date, so fixed. If the trial is not completed within a period of six months, then Special Judge, SBS Nagar, shall render necessary explanation for not doing so, which is to be forwarded to this court alongwith comments by the District and Sessions Judge, SBS Nagar.

The present petition is dismissed as withdrawn. A copy of the order be sent to the Court concerned, through District and Sessions Judge, SBS Nagar, for information and necessary action.
