(Oral) In the present petition, the prayer of the petitioners is that an enquiry into the FIR No. 307 dated 28.08.2020, under Sections 341, 365, 324, 323, 148, 149 IPC and Sections 25/27 of Arms Act, registered at Police Station Sadar Fazilka, District Fazilka to be done under the supervision of respondent No. 2 i.e. Director General of Police, Punjab Police Headquarters, Sector-9, Chandigarh.

In the present petition, certain allegations have been alleged against the police officials as well, who have been implicated by name. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the grievance which has been raised in the present petition, has also been brought to the notice of respondent No. 2 i.e. Director General of Police, Punjab Police Headquarters, Sector-9, Chandigarh vide representation dated 03.09.2020 NARESH KUMAR 2020.09.26 14:15 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

CRM No. M-29760-2020 (Annexure P-8), which is still pending consideration with the said authority. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a time bound direction is issued to respondent No. 2 to decide the said representation by passing appropriate speaking order. Notice of motion.

Mr. Sandeep Singh Deol, learned Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, who has also joined the proceedings through video conference, keeping in view the service of advance copy of petition, accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State. Learned State counsel raises no objection with regard to the prayer of the petitioners for deciding the representation dated 03.09.2020 (Annexure P-8) by respondent No. 2 in a time bound manner. In view of the request made, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the claim being made by the petitioners, respondent No. 2 i.e. Director General of Police, Punjab Police Headquarters, Sector-9, Chandigarh. is directed to decide the representation dated 03.09.2020 (Annexure P-8) within a period of eight weeks from the receipt of copy of this order. In case after the decision, it is found that the action is required to be taken, the same will also be taken at the earliest. Present writ petition stands disposed of.
