The present revision petition has been filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of directions to the learned Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Garhshankar, Hoshiarpur to expeditiously decide the petition being HMA No.213-2023 titled as 'Sonia V/s Avtar Singh' filed under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 in a time bound manner.

As per the Dashboard of District Courts, Hoshiarpur available on the website of National Judicial Data Grid, 2091 cases including 3 to 8 years old cases are pending before the Court concerned. 3.
The Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of High Court Bar Association, Allahabad Vs. State of U.P. & Ors. [2024 (2) RCR (Civil) 195] has held as under :
"37(c) Constitutional Courts, in the ordinary course, should refrain from fixing a time-bound schedule for the AMAN JAIN 2025.05.21 09:13 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment
CR-2932-2025 (O&M) -2disposal of cases pending before any other Courts. Constitutional Courts may issue directions for the timebound disposal of cases only in exceptional circumstances. The issue of prioritizing the disposal of cases should be best left to the decision of the concerned Courts where the cases are pending"

No exceptional circumstances are made out for issuance of directions to the Court concerned for deciding the above petition in a time bound manner.
