The prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to fill vacant post of Veterinary Inspectors pursuant to Advertisement No.17/2022 dated 09.12.2022.

Learned counsel would submit that in the advertisement No.17/2022 dated 09.12.2022, Annexure P-1, the petitioner being aspirant had applied for appointment to the post of Veterinary Inspectors and is at Sr. No.25 in the waiting list while there are posts still that remained vacant. In this regard, a representation dated 01.04.2024, Annexure P-6, has been submitted, which has yet not evoked any response. He thus, at this stage, on instructions, submits that the petitioner is sanguine of it being considered in a positive manner, in case, a direction is given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner by granting him an opportunity of hearing. 3.
