On 31.05.2024, the following order was passed : "Counsel for the petitioner submits that impugning order dated 19.10.2023, Annexure P-1, whereby petitioner's license issued under the Punjab Travel Professional's Regulation Act, 2012, was suspended, an appeal, Annexure P-2, has been filed in March, 2024. He submits that despite clarification given by the petitioner vide Annexure P-8, appeal is not being taken up for hearing.

Advance copy of the petition has been served upon the State.

On asking of the Court, Ms. Amrita Garg, AAG, Punjab, puts in appearance on behalf of the respondents. She requests for a short accommodation to get instructions and apprise the Court as to when the appeal would come up for hearing.

CWP-13954-2024 At this stage, counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the license is valid till 17.06.2024. It is expected that the respondent-authorities would fix the appeal, Annexure P-2, for hearing prior to the said date.

Looking at the urgency of the matter, it is ordered to be listed during the summer vacation on 05.06.2024."

Mr.S.S.Aulakh, AAG, Punjab, submits that the appellate authority has fixed the matter for hearing on 11.06.2024, thus, the present petition has rendered infructuous.

Mr. Fateh Singh Dhillon, Advocate submits that the respondents may be directed to adjudicate the matter within two days from the date of hearing because licence is going to expire on 17.06.2024.

Mr. S. S. Aulakh, AAG, Punjab, does not oppose the aforesaid prayer.

In the wake of statement of both sides, the present petition stands disposed of.
