(Oral) Prayer in this petition is for quashing of FIR No.0201 dated 17.3.2023 (Annexure P-1) under Sections 376(2)(n), 506 IPC and Sections 3 & 5 of Dowry Prohibition Act, registered at Police Station Karnal City, District Karnal, on the basis of compromise dated 12.5.2023 (Annexure P-2).

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the present petition has been rendered infructuous in view of the statement made in the status report dated 22.09.2023 filed by way of affidavit of Veer Singh, HPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, City, Karnal, to the effect that "...cancellation report was written in the present case on 25.06.2023 by SHO Police Station City, Karnal and same will be submitted before the learned Illaqa Magistrate as soon as possible..."
