ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petitioner is before this Court, inter alia, for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari seeking quashing Clause 2 (II) (III) and (IV) of the appointment letters of the petitioners dated 04.05.2020 and 05.02.2020 (Annexures P-4 and P-5 respectively). Same are stated to be illegal and being violative of Article 14 read with Article 16 of the Constitution of India and Rule 10 and 15 of the Punjab Municipal Services (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1975.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that at this stage, the petitioners would be satisfied if their pending representation dated 15.07.2020 (Annexure P-8) followed by Legal Notice dated 20.08.2020 (Annexure P-9) is objectively looked into the by competent authority and is decided by passing a speaking order.

In the premise, without commenting on the merits of the case, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to SONU 2020.09.23 18:55 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
objectively consider the representation dated 15.07.2020 (Annexure P-8) followed by Legal Notice dated 20.08.2020 (Annexure P-9) and decide the same by passing a speaking order, in accordance with law. 4.
