AUGUSTINE GEORGE MASIH, J. (ORAL) The present appeal has been preferred against the order dated 18.08.2021 passed by the learned Single Judge in CRWP-7782 of 2021, which was filed by the appellants with a prayer that their life and liberty is threatened at the hands of private respondents No.4 to 12 after they had solemnised marriage against their wishes. The prayer in the said writ petition was not accepted and the same was dismissed by imposing costs of `10,000/- to be borne by the appellants.

Learned Additional Advocate General, Punjab, Mr. S.P.S. Tinna, states on instructions from S.I. Rajinder Singh, Police Station Boha, District Mansa, that statements of respondents No.4 to 8, namely, Sukhwant Singh, Jagpal Singh, Amritpal Singh Gamdoor Singh and Kuldeep Singh had been recorded wherein they have stated that they have RAVINDER SINGH 2021.08.27 10:57 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

-2LPA-734 of 2021 (O&M) no objection to the marriage of the appellants and that they have not extended any threat nor will in future also do so. In the light of the above, counsel for the appellants does not press the present appeal except for the aspect that the costs as imposed by the learned Single Judge may be waived off.
