(Oral) The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of directions to the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitoner as well as other members of her family as she apprehends threat to the same at the hands of respondents No.4 to 6. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. The dispute apparently seems to be between the petitioner and her brother's family as regards the property of her father who expired in the MOHAN SINGH 2021.08.24 19:04 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

- 2 - CRWP-8004-2021 (O&M) year 2016 and on account of which she asserts that the private respondents have been threatening to cause harm to her.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and without commenting anything as regards the merits of the case, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur, to look into the matter and to dispose of the representation dated 20.7.2021 Annexure P-2 as regards the alleged threat perception of the petitioner. In case, it is found that there is genuine threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner and other members of her family, then necessary steps warranted under law be taken thereupon at the earliest so as to ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioner.
