Prayer in this criminal writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of direction to the official respondent No.2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of private respondent No.4, who is unnecessary harassing and threatening the petitioner to kill her and has made the life of petitioner miserable by beating her badly in drunkard condition.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. M.S. Nagra, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondents-State. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that petitioner has filed representation dated 17.08.2021 (Annexures P-1) before the Senior Superintendent of Police, District Patiala, for the redressal of her claim.
