(ORAL ) The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing official respondents for protecting the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of private respondents and further not to cause any obstruction in the private business of the petitioners. Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners are running the business under the name and style of M/s Guru Nanak Trading Company and M/s Jashan Trading Company and they RAJ KUMAR ARORA 2021.08.27 12:46 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP-8033-2021 (O&M) purchase wheat directly from the Indian Government and supply the same in different areas but the private respondents who are truck operators union as well as its office bearers are not permitting the petitioners to carry out their business by stating that the petitioners cannot indulge in transportation in the area which belongs to the truck union and they are, thus, interfering in the rights of the petitioners.

Notice of motion to respondent Nos.1, 2 and 3 only. Mr.Randhir Singh Thind, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the aforesaid respondents.

Keeping in view the facts of the present case, this petition is disposed of with a direction that respondent No.3 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Barnala, shall look into the representations Anexures P-2 and P-3 filed by the petitioners and take further appropriate action in accordance with law in case it is so required.
