G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) Challenge in the present writ petition is to the order dated 27.06.2014 (Annexure P-5) whereby, the service tenure of the petitioner as District Manager of the Mid-Day-Meal scheme upto 30.06.2014 was not renewed. The plea taken is that work and conduct of the petitioner was very good and his case has been recommended by the District Education Officer, Barnala.

A perusal of the letter dated 13.08.2008 would go on to show that the petitioner was appointed on contract basis for initial period of one year. It is not disputed that the term was extended time and again and upto 30.06.2014. Thereafter, the petitioner's term has not been extended, which is subject matter of challenge.

The contract inter se was subject to certain conditions. It is for the satisfaction of the employer that whether the contract is to be extended and it is not a matter of any vested right that the said can be enforced under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India. The present writ petition is accordingly dismissed.
