Mr. J.S. Chahal, Advocate for respondent Nos.4 to 6. HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J Petitioner and the detenue Jagdeep kaur solemnized their marriage on 27.08.2020. Apprehending danger to their life, both filed a petition bearing Crl.W.P.No.7185 of 2020 titled Jagdeep Kaur and Anr. vs. State of Punjab and Ors before this Court stating that they performed marriage against the wishes of family members of Jagdeep Kaur. It is stated that said petition was disposed of by this Court vide order dated 15.09.2020 with a direction to the S.S.P, Batnala to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and his wife-Jagdeep Kaur. It is further stated that on 15.09.2020, respondent Nos.4 to 6 forcibly took away Jagdeep Kaur when the petitioner and his newly wedded wife were on the way to Barnala and that Jagdeep Kaur is in illegal custody of respondent Nos.4 to

6. Instant petition seeking a writ of Habeas Corpus has been preferred for release of detenue-Jagdeep Kaur from the alleged illegal custody of respondent Nos.4 to 6.

Reply on behalf of the respondent-State of Punjab has been filed wherein it has been stated that statement of Jagdeep Kaur was MANOJ KUMAR 2020.12.14 17:28 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Crl.W.P.No.7526 of 2020 #2# recorded. She stated that she is residing with respondent Nos.4 to 6 out of her own free will and volition. Jagdeep Kaur has also appeared through video conferencing and stated that she is living with respondent Nos.4 to 6 out of her own free will and that she has left the company of the petitioner of her own.

In view thereof, no further directions are required to be issued. Disposed of as such.
