Present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, inter alia, for directing the respondents to scrutinize the application forms, documents etc. of the petitioners as done in the case of similarly situated candidates vide Public Notice dated 06.05.2022 (P-13) despite they being passed the written examination and fall within the zone of consideration.

This Court on 20.07.2022 passed the following order:- " Contends that similar controversy is pending for consideration before this Court in CWP-15413-2022. Notice of motion.

Notice re: interim relief.

To be heard along with CWP-15413-2022 on the date DINESH KUMAR 2022.09.07 13:31 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document already fixed i.e. 21.07.2022. "

CWP No. 15446 of 2022 (O&M) -23.

Today, learned State Counsel, on instructions from Mr. Manoj Bansal, Superintending Engineer, Water Resources Department, Chandigarh as well as Mr. Anil Kapoor, Superintendent, PPSC, Patiala, has given an assurance that case of petitioners shall be considered as per merit position in the list dated 13.07.2022 (P-14), on or before 16.09.2022. 4.

Above proposal is duly accepted by petitioners as well as private respondents through their respective counsel(s). 5.

In view of the agreed stand taken by both sides, but without going into the merits of controversy, present writ petition is disposed off accordingly.

It is made clear that official respondents shall be bound by their aforesaid stand and in case there is a failure, petitioners would be at liberty to move an application for revival of the present writ petition. 7.
