HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J Present case has been put up on the complaint received by post from one Gurmeet Singh son of Milkha Singh R/o Village Natthupur, Tehsil and District Tarn Taran wherein he has alleged that his son Amritpal Singh who was running a grocery shop in the village was picked up on 05.6.2019 by the officials of Narcotic Cell, Tarn Taran including Sukhraj Singh, Dilbag Singh and Darshan Singh. Aforesaid officials also entered his house and scattered all the articles lying in his house and since then there is no information regarding whereabouts of his son. Upon notice, reply by way of affidavit dated 26.6.2019 of Sr.
Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taran has been filed on behalf of the respondent-State stating that on receipt of the order of this Court, inquiry in the matter was marked to the DSP (Investigation), Tarn Taran and it has been found that neither the police picked up the son of the petitioner nor entered his house. It is stated that the petitioner is a habitual offender and there are four cases including 3 under the NDPS Act registered against him. The son of the petitioner is not required by the local police and he is at MANOJ KUMAR 2019.06.
CRWP No.541 of 2019 #2# present living with his family peacefully.
In view of the contents of the reply, no further action is required to be taken.
