RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Instant writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing the official respondents to take appropriate legal action against respondent No.8 for embezzlement of funds/grants by affixing fake thumb impressions/signatures, as per facts and circumstances mentioned in the representations, Annexures P-2 to P-4. It is further prayed to issue directions to official respondents to pass appropriate order upon the representation dated 02.11.2022 in a time bound manner. It has been contended by counsel for the petitioner that representation, Annexure P-2, was filed by the petitioner on 02.11.2022 but no decision has been taken on the same till date. Notice of motion to official respondents only at this stage. On asking of the Court, Ms.Akshita Chauhan, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the MEENU 2023.10.06 14:38 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment

After hearing counsel for the parties and going through the facts and circumstances of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.6, i.e. BDPO to decide the representation, dated 02.11.2022, Annexure P-2 expeditiously in accordance with law preferably within one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
