MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (ORAL) The petitioner is seeking the concession of anticipatory bail in FIR No.37 dated 14.05.2024 under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, registered at Police Station Bassi Pathana, District Fatehgarh Sahib.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the parties were referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court, wherein an amicable settlement has been arrived at between the parties. Learned counsel has also submitted that as per the terms and conditions of compromise, an amount of 21,50,000/- was to be deposited in the ₹ account of the Registrar of this Court. Learned counsel has placed on record a photocopy of the demand draft in the sum of 21,50,000/- ₹ payable to the Registrar of this Court, which is taken on record subject PUNEET SACHDEVA 2025.09.29 15:47 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh to just exceptions.

Learned counsel for the complainant has not disputed the submissions made by the counsel for the petitioner with respect to the parties having indeed settled all disputes and having arrived an amicable settlement. However, a prayer has been made by the counsel for the complainant that the Registrar of this Court be directed to disburse the amount in the sum of 21,50,000/- in favour of complainant- ₹ Gurlal Singh.

In view of the above, since the FIR itself has been quashed, nothing survives in the instant petition and the same, therefore, stands dismissed as infructuous.
