The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents No. 1 and 2 to re-issue him passport.

The petitioner was issued passport on 22.05.2014 which expired on 21.05.2024. He applied for re-issuance of passport on 20.12.2022. 3.

Counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that no criminal case is pending against the petitioner still passport has not been issued to him. He has also served legal notice dated 02.04.2024 (Annexure P-4). 4.

Mr. Arnav Kumar Sood, Advocate submits that legal notice dated 02.04.2024 (Annexure P-4) of the petitioner would be decided within eight weeks from today.
