1. Whether Reporters of Local papers may be allowed to see the judgment?
2. To be referred to the Reporters or not?
3. Whether the judgment should be reported in the Digest? --- Surya Kant, J . (Oral) The short grievance of the petitioners is that they have not been paid compensation for their acquired land, the particulars whereof are given in para No.2 of the writ petition. It is claimed that Awards were passed way back in the year 1989 as per the full details given in para No.5 of the writ petition. It is averred that since payment of full amount of compensation was still awaited, the petitioners made a representation dated 25.09.2015 (P-2) before coming to this Court.
We have heard learned counsel for the petitioners at a considerable length. We are not sure whether any execution proceedings were initiated by the petitioners and if so, whether or not the full amount of compensation as determined by the Competent Court, was released. Be that as it may, respondent No.2 being the custodian of records can determine MOHINDER KUMAR 2016.07.26 14:36 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh whether the petitioners are still entitled to anything in accordance with law.
CWP No.12235 of 2016 [2] We thus dispose of this writ petition without expressing any views on merits, with a direction to respondent No.2 to verify the records and determine the above-mentioned claim of the petitioner within a period of six months from the date of receiving a certified copy of this order. Ordered accordingly.
