Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner through his brother has moved an application (Annexure P-1) before the Superintendent, Centrial Jail, Patiala to process his case for pre-mature release, which has not been processed so far. The petitioner has undergone 16 years of sentence including remissions by now and has become entitled to pre-mature release. Learned counsel for the petitioner confines her submission only to the extent that directions be issued to respondent No.-2 to look into representantion of petitioner for his premature release and decide the same in accordance with law/rules. In view of submission of learned counsel for the petitioner, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2Superintendent, Centrial Jail, Patiala to look into the representation (Annexure P-1) and dispose of the same in accordance with law/rules governing the pre-mature release of the prisoners.
