***** HARSH BUNGER J. (Oral) Petition herein is, inter alia, seeking a writ in the nature of Mandamus, for directing the respondents to renew/reissue the passport to the petitioner.

At this stage, Mr. Arnav Kumar, Advocate appears on behalf of the respondents - UOI, in pursuance of the advance copy of paper book having already been supplied to him and informs the Court that as on date no application for renewal/re-issuance of passport of the petitioner is pending with the Passport Authorities, as the earlier application filed by the petitioner already stands closed. He further submits that, in case petitioner submits fresh application for renewal/re-issuance of passport supported by relevant information/documents, the same shall be considered by the Passport Authorities and an appropriate order (as the circumstances may warrant) ANKIT 2026.05.08 13:57 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court, Chandigarh
