Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to accept the claim of the petitioner to exercise option to switch from Contributory Provident Fund (CPF) to Pension Scheme. Further prayer has been made to direct the respondents to decide the representation dated 24.04.2023 (Annexure P-7) expeditiously and allow the petitioner to exercise option to switch from Contributory Provident Fund (CPF) to Pension Scheme. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for claiming the aforesaid relief, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 24.04.2023 (Annexure P-7) and at this stage, the petitioner would be MOHD YAKUB 2024.10.16 17:48 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record of the case.

Without going into the merits of the case at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to consider and decide representation dated 24.04.2023 (Annexure P-7), submitted by the petitioner expeditiously, by passing a speaking order, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
