The petitioner has approached this Court seeking grant of anticipatory bail in respect of a case registered vide FIR No.16 dated 13.2.2021, Police Station Mehatpur, Tehsil Shahkot, District Jalandhar, under Sections 406, 420, 465, 467, 468, 472 and 34 of Indian Penal Code.

The FIR was lodged at the instance of Chief Manager of Union Bank of India, Noormahal, wherein it is alleged that a crop loan to the tune of Rs.12 lakhs had been sanctioned in the name of the petitioner and her husband against mortgage of land in favour of bank but the petitioner is alleged to have sold off the land to one Kuldeep Rai without repaying the loan amount to the bank and without even informing the bank. 3.
During the pendency of this petition, efforts were made by the petitioner to amicably resolve the matter. It has been informed that the matter has now PANKAJ KAKKAR 2022.08.17 16:33 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
( 2 ) CRM-M-34867-2021 (O&M) been settled with the bank and the settled amount has been paid by the petitioner to the bank in discharge of her liability. 4.
Learned State counsel has not disputed the aforesaid fact. Learned State counsel has informed that the petitioner otherwise has joined investigation and is not required for any custodial interrogation. 5.
