ARVIND SINGH SANGWAN J. (Oral) Prayer in this criminal writ petition is for issuance of a writ in the nature of habeas corpus for releasing the detenue i.e. son of the petitioner namely Balwinder Singh.

Counsel for the State, on instructions from ASI Balwinder Singh, submits that the detenue - Balwinder Singh has been arrested by the Tarn Taran Police in FIR No.221 dated 10.10.2017 under Section 21 of the NDPS Act.

In view of the above, the criminal writ petition is dismissed having been rendered infructuous.
