(ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioner confines his prayer in the present writ petition for appropriate direction to respondent No.3 to decide the representation (Annexure P-4). The grievance of the petitioner is that he has been awarded labour cartage contract by the department of Food & Supplies for the purchase agency Punjab Agro Foodgrains Corporation Limited, Moga Centre but the private respondents No.8 to 11 are harassing the petitioner and threatening him to dire consequences if the petitioner hires the labour from outside and not from their Union. In this regard, a representation Annexure P-4 has been given to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and his staff members.

Having regard to the aforesaid facts and keeping in view the seriousness of the matter, I direct the 3rd respondent-Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga to look into the representation (Annexure P-4) and take the PANKAJ KUMAR 2016.06.14 16:43 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP No.12477 of 2016 -2appropriate action against respondent Nos.8 to 11 in accordance with law, if the situation so warrants. The writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.
