(Oral) The petitioner challenges the order dated 16.8.2012 (Annexure P/2) whereby respondent no.1 had granted benefit by accepting his appeal. The petitioner had been aggrieved against three orders dated 11.8.1994, 19.10.1995 and 18.10.1996 wherein his increments had been stopped with cumulative effect without any departmental enquiries by the General Manager, Punjab Roadways, Tarn Taran. Respondent no.1 has accordingly converted the said orders into stoppage of one annual grade increment without future impact and modified the punishment orders while condoning the delay. Accordingly, the present petitioner has been granted necessary relief and the punishment has been reduced. The minor punishments have been imposed which are on account of the fact that the petitioner while working as Conductor at the time of checking had been found guilty of misconduct.

In such circumstances, respondent no.1 had already granted necessary relief and set aside the cumulative effect of punishment orders. Thus, no fault can be found with the impugned order. There is no scope for interference in exercise of jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.
