Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioners under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing respondent No.1 to give notional/deem promotion to the petitioners to the post of Revenue Accountant (RA) from the date their juniors have been promoted i.e. 23.10.2018, along with all benefits of promotion including arrears of pay, increments, seniority and all other subsequent benefits along with interest @ 12% per annum.

Learned counsel for the petitioners, at the very outset, confines his prayer for deciding representation dated 20.09.2023 (Annexure P-14). Mr. Munish Gupta, Advocate, has accepted notice on behalf of the respondents and has no objection to the innocuous prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record of the case.

Without going into the merits of the case at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to decide representation dated 20.09.2023 (Annexure P-14), expeditiously submitted by the petitioners by passing a speaking order, preferably within a period of 03 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
