***** JASPAL SINGH, J.(Oral) By virtue of instant writ petition preferred under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, certiorari or any other writ directing respondents to trace or reconstruct service book in view of Rule 12.2 of CSR Vol.I Part.I and grant him due annual increments and his pay may be fixed. And further to release his pension, DCRG, Arrears of pay and pension and other retiral benefits/consequential benefits accordingly along with interest on delayed payments in view of Full Bench judgment of this Court in R.S. Randhawa v. State of Punjab".

At the very outset of the arguments, it has been pointed out by learned counsel for the respondents that all the necessary benefits except bonus and interest on delayed payment have since been paid to the SONIKA 2018.09.28 15:47 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

CWP No.12600 of 2016 [2] petitioner. And further that bonus as well as interest on the delayed payment of pensionary benefits will be paid within a period of two months. In this regard, letter dated 26.09.2018 (P-X) has been furnished by learned counsel for the respondents, which also contains the details of the various payments already made.

In view of the facts and circumstances narrated above, instant petition has rendered infructuous. However, the respondents are directed to make the payment of the bonus as well as interest on the delayed payment(s), after expiry of three months from the date of retirement till the actual date(s) the various payments of the retiral benefits were made, in the light of Punjab Govt. Instructions No.1/15/90IFPIII/4226, dated 10.05.1990, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. In case of non-compliance of aforesaid direction, the petitioner shall be at liberty to have recourse to the other remedies available to him as well as to approach this Court.
