Prayer in the present petition filed under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023 is for issuance of directions to respondent No.1 to transfer the investigation in FIR bearing No.26 dated 29.03.2025 registered under Sections 21/27/29 of NDPS Act at Police Station Aur, District SBS Nagar (Annexure P-4) to some independent agency.

Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Nirmal Singh, submits that the present petition has been rendered infructuous as the investigation has already been completed and challan stands presented on 16.06.2025.
