It was contended that Ram Diya, Panch while acting as Sarpanch for a short period w.e.f. 6.6.2015 to 17.6.2015 has withdrawn more than Rs.71,43,454/- raising a serious inference of embezzlement of heavy amount in connivance with BDPO and Gram Secretary. Upon notice to the official respondents only, Deputy Commissioner, Karnal has filed his status report dated 3.8.2015. Copy supplied to the counsel for petitioner. Taken on record. CWP 13697/2015 Jagbir Singh has been suspended and recommendations for suspending BDPO and initiating disciplinary proceedings for major penalty have been made to the competent authority.
In view of the averments made, this Court does not deem it necessary to proceed with this writ petition any further. However, it is hoped that necessary action, if required, would also be initiated against Ram Diya, Panch.
Present writ petition is dismissed as infructuous at this stage.
