Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to grant the benefits of 9-16-23 years promotional increment of the petitioner and thereafter, grant revised pay/arrears and revised pension and arrears of pension and to release the remaining amount of service-cum-retirement dues of revised pay scale of 01.01.2016 and arrears thereof and all other consequential benefits, for which a legal notice dated 08.01.2024 (Annexure P-6) has also been served by the petitioner. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, at the very outset, confines his prayer for deciding legal notice dated 08.01.2024 (Annexure P-6). Ms. Armaan Saggar, Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and has no objection to the innocuous prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record of the case.

Without going into the merits of the case at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to decide legal notice dated 08.01.2024 (Annexure P-6), submitted by the petitioner expeditiously, by passing a speaking order, preferably within a period of 03 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
