The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent No. 2 to issue 'No Objection Certificate' to enable him to get passport. 2.

The petitioner vide application dated 14.01.2024 has applied for passport. He was embroiled in FIR No. 08 dated 28.02.1993, under Sections 279, 337, 427, 304-A of IPC, registered at Police Station City Fazilka. He was acquitted by the Trial Court but was convicted by the Appellate Court. He preferred Criminal Revision before this Court and his sentence was suspended vide order dated 23.11.2011. He is not involved in any other offence. He filed representation dated 31.01.2024 (Annexure PARAMJIT KAUR SAINI 2024.05.31 04:44 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP No. 14157 of 2024 -2P-1) before Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur, still 'NOC' has not been issued to him.

With the consent of both sides, the petition is taken up for final disposal today itself.

Mr. Aman Dhir, DAG, Punjab submits that jurisdictional officer would prepare and send his report at the earliest to passport officer. 7.

Learned counsel for the petitioner agrees to the aforesaid arrangement.
