Grievance of the petitioner is against non-payment of `Annuity' in lieu of the acquisition of their land by the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited for setting up `2800 Mega Watt Gorakhpur Atomic Power Project'.

Learned counsel for respondent No.2-Corporation on the basis of written instructions states that `Annuity' has since been released to all the affected land owners and non-payment in some of the cases is for want of requisite documents etc.

Since the `Annuity' was payable in January 2015 and it has been Meenu 2017.01.10 12:42 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document chandigarh released in October 2016 only, we direct respondent No.2-Corporation to pay

CWP-1277-2016 -2simple interest @ 7% per annum from the date it became due till the date it was deposited with the Land Acquisition Collector. In case the State of Haryana is also liable to share the burden of interest, the Corporation shall be at liberty to raise such claim against the State. Disposed of.
