(Oral) In this writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioners have prayed for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus, directing respondents No.1 to 3 to reduce the level of the road to its original height which has been raised to approximately 6 feet from its original level without any reason and only on a stretch of about 21⁄2 KM on the entire National Highway 95 which is infact in front of the residential houses and shops of the petitioners on account of a 4 Lane Road being built from Ludhiana to Talwandi Bhai on National Highway 95 and thus causing grave inconvenience to the petitioners. No response to the several representations made by the petitioners before the concerned authorities has been made yet.

After arguing for sometime, learned counsel for the petitioners states that he may be allowed to withdraw the present writ petition with liberty to the petitioners to take recourse to the alternative remedies as may be available to them.
