Mr. Harinder Singh, Advocate for the petitioner **** SURYA KANT, J. (Oral) (1) The petitioner is a resident of village Hirewala, Tehsil and District Mansa. His grievance appears to be that encroachments have been made on Gram Panchayat land but no proceedings under Section 7 of the Punjab Village Common Land (Regulations) Act, 1961 for eviction of the encroachers are being initiated by the Gram Panchayat or the authorities like DDPO. The petitioner is said to have submitted representation-cumcomplaint dated 15.05.2014 and 16.01.2015 (P1 & P2) in this regard but finding no positive response that the instant writ petition has been filed.
(2) Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner but without expressing any views on merit, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the DDPO, Mansa to ascertain the correct facts and, if need be, to issue necessary instructions to the V.VISHAL 2016.01.27 12:53 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
