(Presence marked through video conference) ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners. The contents of the petition along with Annexures thereof have been perused. It is stated that both the petitioners are major/marriageable age and it is their first marriage.

The present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 i.e. Senior Superintendent of Police, U.T. Chandigarh that the contents of the representation dated 21.09.2020 (Annexure P-6) seeking protection of life and liberty, be duly verified and if necessary, requisite steps be taken, in accordance with law for grant of protection of life and liberty to the petitioners. It is clarified that this order shall neither be treated as a stamp of this Court qua marriage of the petitioners nor any reflection on the merits of the contentions raised by them in the present petition.

Present petition stands disposed of.
