MANJARI NEHRU KAUL , J. (ORAL) Petitioner is seeking issuance of directions to the official respondents to protect her life and liberty at the hands of respondent No.4 and to consider and take a decision on the representation dated 05.05.2025 (Annexure P-5) moved by the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a representation was given on 05.05.2025 (Annexure P-5) to the police authorities, however, it had failed to yield any response. It has been submitted that the official respondents were under a legal obligation to pass an appropriate order on the representation. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if directions are issued to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala, to look into the representation dated 05.05.2025 (Annexure P-5) of the petitioner and take appropriate steps in accordance with law. 3.

In the wake of the limited prayer of the petitioner, the instant petition is disposed of and respondent No.2Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala, is directed to look into the grievance of the petitioner and take appropriate steps, if any required, under the provisions of law. However, if respondent No.2 does not find any substance in the allegations levelled in the representation dated 05.05.2025 (Annexure P-5), then the petitioner shall be duly informed as per the parameters laid down by the Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari Versus Government of Uttar Pradesh & Ors. 2013 (4) RCR (Criminal) 979.
