Mr. Manjinder Singh Saini, Advocate for the petitioner.    

   Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is for directing the respondent No.2 to protect the life and personal liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondent Nos.3 and 4 who are threatening the petitioner that if he would not appear before the respondent No.3 then he would be implicated in some false case. Learned counsel for the petitioner has contended that respondent No.3 visited the house of the petitioner in his absence and without disclosing any reason gave threats to his family regarding falsely involving the petitioner in some false case. Thereafter police officials had visited his house several times and had again gave threats to his family members to implicate the petitioner in some false case. The petitioner had also filed representation dated 05.05.2025 (Annexure P-5) before the Senior Superintendent of Police, SAS Nagar, Mohali, but till date no action has Jyoti 2025.05.19 17:58 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

During the course of arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he would be satisfied, in case, said pending representation (Annexure P-5) is decided by respondent No.2. Notice of motion.

Ms. Gagandeep Kaur, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice and submitted that she has no objection if the aforesaid representation dated 05.05.2025 (Annexure P-5) is decided.

In view of the above, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-the Senior Superintendent of Police, SAS Nagar, Mohali, to look into the representation dated 05.05.2025 (Annexure P-5), at the earliest and take necessary steps, if any required, in accordance with law. However, it will have no effect on any civil or criminal action, which could be initiated in the matter in accordance with law. Disposed of.
